The role of the missions committee is to educate, inform, and motivate the congregation about mission outreach and their part in it. The committee evaluates mission projects and then reports their finding to the congregation on the entity and the benefits of its outreach. We sponsor a different mission each month and welcome visits from these missions to discuss what they do and the results of their efforts.

How We Serve
Provide food, financial, and material assistance to Citrus County residents who find themselves in difficult times. Provide linens, housewares, and other items to assist those in emergency situations. Assist individuals entering the work place and school children with appropriate clothing. Offer encouragement to people who find themselves without employment, have suffered abuse, or just need help during a crisis. Also, work with other agencies in the County in an effort to provide solutions for those in the community who come to us for aid. C.U.B. annually has been able to return approximately .88 cents of every dollar received back to the community.

Our Vision
Established in 1999, Sonlight Christian Mission, Inc was incorporated to serve the mission in Gonaives, Haiti. God started working through Melio Jean at the age of 9 while he lived at Cookson Hills Christian Home in Port-au-Prince, 80 miles from his home. Melio had a vision to start a mission and once he obtained his college education in the US, he went back and moved to Gonaives, Haiti. It is there that through today, God has and is blessing Melio and SCM to save souls, educate children and give medical treatment at the mission. Only God can transform the lives of the 98%, and we are trusting Him to do so by planting local churches in Europe led by national pastors.

As ECMI-USA identifies, trains, and mentors 12 new church planters, we hope and pray that thousands of people will come to Christ.
